The Net Nomad's Anti-Pokemon Website!

Sorry, but after the better part of three years without a use for this site, I've decided to archive it. It exists only on my hard drive right now.

For those of who have NOT seen my old AP site in the past: Sorry, you won't find anything here anymore. If you are wondering, this site used to be where I posted information and projects relating to my dislike of Pokemon. If you are a pokehater yourself, sorry to not be able to give you anything. If you're a Pokefan who's just looking for a fresh dose of things to get pissed off at: get a life. Sorry, it had to be said.

For those of who HAVE seen my old AP site: You're not missing anything since you last came here. I've not updated a single file on this site since the day I posted my "stop sending me flames because I won't read them" message. What a surprise, nobody listened. The amount of people who will so conveniently ignore that message because they're so quick to email me as a kneejerk response to taking the site's content personally (despite the fact that I specifically said I did not hate the fans) is just incredible. The only time I ever thought of this site in the last year was when I got such an email. It's not doing anything for me anymore, it's not a part of my life anymore, and to be perfectly honest I just have a bad habit of leaving things un-cleaned-up.

That said, I do NOT under any circumstances want emails saying "ZOMG NOMAD PLZ PUT UR SITE BACK UP!!!1". It's not gonna happen, don't bother. The only reason I didn't do this sooner is, well, I'm lazy... VERY lazy, which I'm sure you noticed back in "the day." Even with sites I frequently update now, I'm notorious for leaving them on the back burner. Please, folks, it's not like my old AP site gave you some fix or something. It was fun for an hour of browsing or so, and maybe an hour or three more if you played the games. But don't act like you've lost a part of your life by not being able to read this site anymore, because guess what: if a site like that old thing was a significant part of your life, having never had an obligation to it like I did, then maybe your life needs a little more meaning.

I'm not talking to any specific people here, I'm just trying to cover all the bases so I don't get mail spammed with things I don't want to repeat.

This site had a nice long life for what it was, and it was fun to make it when I did... and from those years I learned quite a lot about several things, particularly debating. But we can't hold on to everything, and there's no point in leaving a site to rot.

And a final note for any whiny, little kid pokefans who happen to be reading: by no means has this site "lost." It wasn't out to "win" anything. I'm a realist. I never had any intention of it "stopping Pokemon." One little site + many, many other, contentless sites with gory pictures, against a global fad. Not a "winning" formula. But that doesn't mean I wasn't going to try to get some people - those who I thought were sensible enough, at least - to stop playing Pokemon. You can't change the world, but you can make a dent. The size of that dent may be debatable, but the fact is that I regret nothing I did in making this site and the content on it... so to those few of you who have it set in your heads that I either "win" or "lose" to some Pokemon war machine, I have one thing to say to you:

You are FANBOYS. Get over yourselves already.

And for those who are now wondering, yes, I have experience in being a fanboy. I think we all have at one point or another; after all, we were all young once. But I didn't seek out anti-whatever-it-was sites just so I could yell and curse at the site owners to make myself feel better, while only acheiving a place on the owner's hatemail page...

"YOU SUCK YOU FREAKIN BUTHOLE!I WISH YOU GOT YOUR WEBSITE BROKE DOWN YOU POKEHATER!YOU LICK YOURSELF YOU DIRTY MOKEY BUTT!SUCKER!!!"

Yes, that was an actual guestbook entry I recieved once.

What if I want to see the old site?: On the off chance that one of my old Antipokemon friends has come here for nostalgic purposes or whatever, I'm sorry to inconvenience you. But like I said, I've packaged up all the old content. It's sitting in a neat little .rar file on my hard drive. If you really would like to see it, drop me a line... or even if not, I'd like to hear from you anyway! We're all on to bigger and better things now, but that doesn't mean we can't still talk about them. I have a couple new sites/projects since I stopped doing anything with this site... and I'm sure you do as well. It's nice to hear from old friends. :D

I do NOT, however want email from you if you intend to:

That about covers it, I think. Best of luck to you guys. :)
